Week 259 - Wolfe on Worthing Wurlitzer

It's star Organist time and this month we are very pleased to welcome that international star entertainer from the Thursford Collection - Robert Wolfe! He is highly regarded as one of the UK's exponents of the theatre organ and was very much at home at the Worthing Wurlitzer which is where this weeks show comes from!

 

Week 258 - From Nigel Ogden’s Archive: Whirling the Empress

On this week's show Nigel Ogden takes a trip to the seaside a features the Empress Ballroom Wurlitzer. With lot's of archive material of Horace Finch, Reginald Dixon and Ernest Broadbent, there also an opportunity to hear Nigel at the new Empress organ which was installed a few years ago!

Well years later the Wurlitzer is still with us, now in the delightful Neuadd Pendre, Tywyn and Kieth is reunited with the the mighty as he presents a show full of memories!
